Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean: Individual Pledge to Pick
Keep Britain Tidy are encouraging everyone who can to do a bit of individual litter picking between May 28th and 13th June.
In Henfield we have our brilliant Parish Council Litter Pickers who cover the main part of the village but we know that quite a few areas alongside footpaths and verges and on the Common

Pledge to litter pick as an Individual
You will be helping wildlife as much plastic waste hangs around in the environment for decades or even centuries. Even the ‘biodgradeable’plastic in dog poo bags takes months and some only biodegrade if they are buried in the ground and at a high temperature.
SH2030 may get a group of willing volunteers togehter on Sunday 30th for a socially distant group litter pick on thh Common. Sign up at our stall in the High Street on 29th May if you are interested.
